Obedience

In the daily life we have our own will and the will of God. The main difference between the two wills is that our will wants to please ourself wich can result in the destruction of others and the will of God is for us to help other people wich often result in the restoration of people and the growing of our faith. When we accept Christ and surrender ourself to God we must follow His will, to follow His will you have to listen to Him and you have to obey Him.

Obedience in the normal dictionary means: ' To submit your own will to the will of someone else and act according that will.'
Obedience in the biblical way means: 'To submit your own will to the will of God and to act according God's will.'

In normal life it is hard to submit your will to the will of someone else, unfortunately it is the same with the Lord Romans 8:7 (NIV) The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

There are a few things you can do that will help you to obey the Lord:

1. You have to accept Christ:

Because of Christ we can get a relationship with God and you need some kind of relationship with someone before you can truly obey them. Jesus is God so by loving Jesus and doing what He asks you to do you are obeying God

John 14:23(NIV) Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

2. You have to get to know God's will:
It is hard to obey someone if you don't know what he wants from you. The main way you can get to know God's will is through the word. It is something I truly love to do. The word is like God's thoughts, it has everything we need. It has the answers and of course God's will in it. An exapmle is Micah 6:8(NIV) He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly[a] with your God. Here you can see clearly what the Lord wants of us. It is really important for a christian to read the word of God (Joshua 1:8, psalm 119:105).  A second way is to pray, God often answers through prayer by a thought of an feeling.

3. You have to trust God:

Before you can obey someone you have to trust them, to be sure that what he or she is saying is the best for you. You need faith in that person. It is the same with the Lord. You have to trust Him and have faith in Him that His plan is the best for you. (proverbs 3:5). As you obey Him your trust in Him will grow because you will see the amazing results.

4. You have to surrender yourself to God:

This is where you truly start to obey. To surrender means to let go of your own plan and to follow God's plan . To do this you need obedience because some things God ask will be out of your comfort zone or will just sounds silly to you.

Obedience is something that God expects from us , it pleases Him 1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV)  But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifice as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. and there are many blessings that follow. Obedience is a hard thing to do and it won't be perfect in one day. Often we will fail but God is  a loving and forgiving God and if you ask Him He wil help you because it is something we need to grow in.

Prayer:

Dear Father, sometimes it is really hard to obey you, even if we know that your plan is the best we can still be anxious. That's why we come to ask you to help us to trust you and to obey you . To surrender ourself more to you and to follow your perfect path. Fill us with your spirit that he may guide us. Thank you because you always listen to us.

Amen.

What is grace ?

Grace is a word that is used often in the bible and in the christian life. Grace in general is the grace we see in the world. But you can have grace one day and you can't be accused the other day. I will talk about God's unending grace. But what is grace and what is its purpose?

Grace is a character of God. Just as love, grace can be used as a way to describe God. Grace is one thing but it has many definitions so a definition that really describes grace is: 'God's unmerited gift'

As I was doing a research I found some defenitions that really caught my eyes;

  • Grace is the love of God for the unloved.
  • Grace is God reaching out to those who sin against Him.
  • Grace is an unconditional love for he who doesn't deserve it.
  • Grace is a free gift from God.
  • Grace is a choise of God.
  • My defenition: Grace is God caring for us and giving us when we don't deserve it.

We are going to look at grace in the old testament and in the new testament

Grace in the old testament.
In the old testament grace is translated from the greek word 'chased' wich means love, favour, kindness, forgiving and conservation. You can really see God's grace in His acceptance of blood offers to forgive His people. It wasn't the blood that forgave the Israelites, it was God's choice to forgive those who put their trust on Him. Hebrews 10: 4 For the blood of buls and goats can never take away sins .

Grace in the new testament.
In the new testament grace is translated from the greek word 'charis' wich means provision and salvation. Out of grace God paid our debt on the cross. He did it for free without asking something back. Out of grace God looked at Jesus in condemnation instead of at us and he saw us as right before His eyes. Christ is God's grace and you can only have grace if you have Christ. God provided Christ when we didn't deserve it.

Grace is really important in the christian life. It is one of the bases for our motivations and strength. To understand grace you have to understand God and Jesus 2 Peter 1:2 May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. When we understand how gracious God is we will fall in love with him and the desire to serve Him will grow.

Nothing you can do can change God.s grace . You can't deserve it but you also can't undeserve it Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.

God's grace is there for believers and for unbelievers. for believers it is demonstrated in Christ our savior and redeemer Roman 3: 22-24 God put's people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all; everyone has sinned and is fa away from God's saving precense. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with Him through Christ Jesus, who sets  theme free. And for unbelievers God's grace is demonstrated in His provisions for the earth Matthew  5:45 So that you may become the chhildren of your Father in heaven. For them he makes His sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and he gives rain to those who do good and those who do evil.

Here are some things we get through grace:

  • Grace gives life through Christ Romans 5:17 it is true that through the sin of one man death began to rule because of that one man. But how much greater is the result of what was done by one man Jesus Christ. all who receive God's abundant grace and are freely put right with Him will rule in life through Christ.
  • Grace gives us strength for life 2 Timothy 2:1 As for you son, be strong through the grace that is ours in union of Christ Jesus. Hebrews 13:9 Do net lett al kinds of strange teachings lead you from the right way. It is good to receive inner strength from God's grace, and not by obeying rules about foods those wgo obey these rules have not be helped by them.
  • Grace gives us answers for difficulties  Hebrews 4 :16 Let us have confidence the, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. there we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.
  • grace gives our hope for eternal life Romans 5:21 So then just as sin ruled by means of death, so also God's grace rules by means of righteousness, leading us to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Grace is who God is. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. To receive His grace you have to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Do you want to make a choise and receive God's grace. Let's pray together to accept Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and i accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for forgiving my sins and for the eternal life. Take the direction of my life and make me the person yoiu want me to be.

First of all, welkom to the family. Now that you have received Christ you are righteous in His eyes Roman 3:22  And you will receive God's grace through Christ Ephesians 4:7

As you understand God you will understand grace, it will change your desires and your heart into pleasing Him. the Gospel is about God's grace through Christ. Know that God's grace is available for you and that he has already planned His grace for you
Ephesians 1:5-6
Let God be glorified!

God loves you!

God loves you! You may not believe it or know it but it is true and that's where I am going to talk about today..

We are going to start with our base scripture "John 3 :16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."It is one of the basic verses that every christian must know. I always divide it in 4 parts so I will understand it better.

Lets start with part a; For God so loved the world:

The first thing we have to understand is that with the 'world' we mean the people on earth like you and me. Everyone on this earth is loved by God. He loved the world, not only the Jews or the Christians but everyone. Even if you don't know Him, He loves you! Even if you are the biggest sinner, He loves you. Even if you are really far from Him, He still loves you. He loves you with His whole heart and His heart is bigger than anyone can imagine. Because of His love He gave His only son to you.

Which brings us to part b; that he gave his one and only son: Imagine standing in the shoes of Abraham in Genesis 22. Having to offer you one and only son. Abraham was able to do it but God stopped him. God knew that Abrahams offer was only able to save himself and God wanted an offer who would save the whole world. That's why He provided a lamb for Abraham and many years later He provided a lamb for the world. Jesus came from heaven, from all his glory to a world that wasn't even worthy of His presence. He became a body of flesh to carry our sins. Because God knew that if He didn't gave his only son we would have died. But now we are free of the death that sins brings because of Him.

That's what the 3th part explains us part c; that whoever believes in him shall not perish:
At first we have to understand that Christ dying for us on the cross was already a prove of Gods love. But it didn't stop there. Christ dying made it possible for our soul not to perish. Our body will die but our soul, our spirit will not die if it is in the right place, if it is saved. But we have a part in it too. You have to believe that God is the one and only God, that Jesus died for you on the cross, that He was risen the 3th day and that by accepting Him as lord an savior you are saved.

Being saved brings us to part d; but have eternal life:
If our soul is saved we will go to heaven and praise God for eternity. That is our eternal life and it is the most amazing life ever. There will be no struggle nor condemnations but only joy and peace. But the only way is Jesus.
'John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.""John 14: 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Only through Christ you can come to the Father and to come to Christ you have to accept him as your Lord and Savior.

"John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.God does not want anyone to get lost but He wants us all to be raised the last day and to praise Him. The one and only God wants you to be saved and to live happy because He loves you.
Here is what you have to do so that you can experience God's love in your life. If you are reading this you can invite Him through prayer but maybe you don't know how to pray. So here you have a prayer to invite Christ in your life so that you can experience His love. If you. Do it with faith Jesus will come in your life and God's love will become reality.

Prayer:Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  I open the door of my life and I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and for the eternal life. Take the direction of my life and make me the person you want me to be.
Amen!
If you pray this prayer with faith know that Christ has entered your life, that you have eternal life and that you are called a child of God.
"John 1: 12  Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God"

Nothing can seperate us from the love of God.
"Romans 8: 38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a]neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Hello..

Hello,

and welcome to my blog. I had already started this blog but that was just for fun now I really want to do something with it. I want to be able to help you guys through this blog. I was praying recently to God about what I can do for Him because my school has reached it's ending and I was feeling lazy. I really didn't had much to do outside learning etc. and I love reading the bible and praying but outside that I wanted to do more. The Lord spoke to me about the fact that I started a blog so why wouldn't I use it to finally be able to preach to people. I love love love preaching and talking about God but I don't really get the change ;( and I'm to shy for youtube :). So I was just filled with joy because the problem about having nothing to do became a real burden but phil. 4: 6-7 says  'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.'  so that was what I did and I was filled with an instant peace. You know God is everything for me, I love Him with all my soul, mind and heart. I'm really not perfect but by not being perfect I get to know everyday how perfect He is. Don't worry about anything because  with Christ you will reach your destiny, live happy and fullfil your purpose and I hope my teachings and sermon may help with that.

Be blessed in the love of God.. <3

I pray that God will bless every person that is reading this. That the Holy Spirit  may open your mind to understand and your heart towards God.

Ps: I will try to upload twice a week. It may be more or less because I still have to figure out how I'm going to do this. * Waiting for the guidance of the Holy Ghost* ;)
